Welcome, Writers
We're glad you're here. If you feel called to write, reflect, or share a story, we want to make the submission process simple and encouraging. These guidelines aren't meant to restrict you: they're simply here to help your work arrive in a format that's easy for us to read and appreciate.
Length: Most pieces fall somewhere between 600 and 1,800 words, but if your submission needs more space, that's okay. Write what feels right.
Format: Please send your piece as a Word document. Use a readable font (Times New Roman, Garamond, or Calibri, 12-point) and include a title. A short 2-3 sentence summary at the top helps us understand your intention.
About You: Include a few sentences about yourself: who you are, where you're writing from, and anything else you'd like readers to know.
Your Voice: We ask that submissions be original and unpublished. Your voice matters, and we want to hear it clearly. If you reference others, just let us know where the ideas came from.
Images: If you'd like to include images or photos, feel free. Just make sure they're clear JPG files and that you have permission to use them. Please include the permission if needed.
Editing: We may suggest edits to help your piece shine, but we'll always respect your voice. You'll have a chance to review any changes.
